Umbraco Backoffice Documentation

Brochureware

Brochureware is the term that we, Onboarding team, use to describe the tombola Umbraco project. It is based on the latest version of Umbraco and Umbraco Cloud software solutions that we customized to create a flexible and easy to use tool to create pages on the tombola website. The main benefits of Brochureware are:

  • Consistency across the territories. All websites are derived from a single baseline, so build once, and ship to individual territories.
  • New colours and design. The new Umbraco solution comes with the new tombola colours which comply with the brand guidelines and it comes with newly designed components which improve UI and UX.
  • Highly improved website speed, SEO and accessibility. The website response times are 54 times faster than the legacy pages and website Lighthouse Performance is improved by 20-30%, pages are completely SEO friendly and fully accessible.
  • Responsive design with mobile first in mind. There's no need to refresh the page to get desktop or mobile views, the content scales based on the device screen.
  • Empowering the Marketing team to deliver the pages on demand. It gives the content creators the ability to create, edit and change the content without needing a release. The pages can be live in minutes!

What is Umbraco Cloud?

Umbraco Cloud is the portal where every tombola website instance is displayed and the place where every project's Backoffice can be accessed. Each instance has three environments - Development, Staging and Live. The changes to the website should be made inside the Development environment and then transferred to Stage and Live.

Not every instance and project on the Umbraco Cloud portal will be visible to you, only the ones that you were invited to. If you need access to the project, please contact the Onboarding team and we will be happy to help you.
