What is tombola Umbraco?
Umbraco is an open-source content management system (CMS) platform for publishing content using it's fully flexible and customizable editors. tombola Umbraco is a customized version of Umbraco delivered, maintained and constantly updated by an Onboarding team under the Brochureware project.

New colours and responsive design
The new Umbraco solution comes with the new tombola colours which comply with the brand guidelines and most importantly the pages created in tombola Umbraco are fully responsive! There's no need to refresh the page to get the mobile or desktop views, the content will scale based on the device screen. This saves developer time, keeps the content consistent and improves overall user experience!
Fast, accessible and easy to use pages
The pages created with tombola Umbraco are all about the user! We made the website completely SEO friendly, improved the website response times by 54 times and Lighthouse Performance by 20-30% and made the website fully accessible. The tombola Umbraco pages serves compressed images and media files, uses accessible colours and has components which comply with the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). This in return delivers better user experience and keeps the players happy!

The final countries to success
After a month into the year of 2024, we launched in another country - Spain! It's a big achievement and we're happy to see how this will impact the player acquisition, Google rankings and overall player experience in the long run. With the Spanish website released on the tombola Umbraco this left us with the last country to tackle - Italy.
We collaborated with the Italian Marketing team and after a bit of a bumpy start we released the Brochureware and the new welcome page in Italy at the end of March 2024. It's the last country on our list to release the new Umbraco solution and we're thrilled to see what content Italian team will bring to the players at tombola!

Project Progression
At the start of the 2024 we launched in two new countries - Sweden and Denmark, by releasing the Welcome pages built with tombola Umbraco. As these are the two of the smallest countries at tombola we are excited to see how much growth the new Umbraco will bring!

The beginnings
The first live page on the tombola Umbraco was launched in the Netherlands back in June 2023 and the Netherlands Welcome page was launched two months later on August. Since then the Netherlands site was closed but the team have created more than 50+ pages on the site!
UK Bingo and Arcade sites were soft launched with the Marketing landing pages in July 2023 that were hosted on promo.tombola.co.uk and promo.tombolaarcade.co.uk respectively. Marketing team have delivered over 20+ landing pages over a couple of months after the launch. However, on November we have launched the Routing solution to the UK and did a big launch of the UK welcome pages just before the IAC which meant that we can move everything on the main domains, thus, we moved all the pages on www.tombola.co.uk and www.tombolaarcade.co.uk. There's over 100+ organic SEO pages and 100+ landing pages delivered in both the UK Bingo and Arcade so far!
